Anime Expo After Dark

This year’s Anime Expo after parties were nothing short of legendary, bringing together music, anime, and gaming culture in unforgettable ways. Our goal has always been to create unforgettable experiences that go beyond the screen, and these two events proved just how powerful those connections can be.

Night One: bbno$ Live and Cosplay Showdown

The first night kicked things off with an electric performance by bbno$, an artist with 13.3M monthly listeners on Spotify, and a viral sensation for cosplaying characters while keeping his signature facial hair. Other special guest appearances included fellow viral artist Yung Gravy, and cosplay content creators Stella Chu and Jessica Nigri. Fans packed the venue for an intimate concert experience with a twist. In true anime convention fashion, there was a bbno$ cosplay contest, where attendees showed off their most creative interpretations of the artist’s style. bbno$ took the stage as the judge, interacting with fans and sharing laughs over the incredible outfits. The contest was a hit, blending music, fashion, and fandom into a single moment that fans will never forget.

And for those who wanted a more personal experience, bbno$ stuck around afterwards for a meet-and-greet with every guest, taking photos, creating TikToks, and cultivating his community.

Night Two: The Y2K Anime Dream with NRG, Spectrum, and NANI

The second night launched an exciting partnership between NRG, Spectrum, and NANI, an aesthetic lifestyle and music brand focused on anime fans. For this event, we transformed the venue into a nostalgic Y2K anime paradise. Think blow-up couches, bead curtains, and dangling CDs, all doused in that signature Spectrum-blue everywhere you looked. The space was buzzing with activity. Arcade cabinets lined the floor, letting guests relive classic gaming moments. Anime-inspired cocktails kept the energy high all night. A fully decked-out Photo Booth with anime props let fans pose as their favorite characters. Everyone left with exclusive party favors, a little keepsake to remember the night.

And then came the main event: a live performance by KYLE, most famous for his hit “iSpy” and 3.9M monthly Spotify listeners. Special guests included artists Guapdad 4000 and Troop, one of the brains behind TRAP SUSHI, an event brand that fuses Japanese lifestyle with Atlanta’s culture. His performance, coupled with the anime edits on stage, turned the whole venue into a dance party. The night was the perfect fusion of anime nostalgia, gaming culture, and music hype.

Why Gaming, Anime, and Music is the Future of Fan Culture

What made these events truly special wasn’t just the decor or the music, it was the way they brought together overlapping communities. By blending these worlds, we’re not just hosting parties, we’re creating cultural moments where fans can experience multiple aspects of their interests.

As gaming continues to evolve, these intersections with aligned communities will only grow stronger. Stay tuned for what’s next.
